Human behaviour rarely makessense on the surface.
What people say is happening, what we see happening, and what is actually driving the behaviour are often three very different things. That’s where I work.

I’m an Applied Behavioural Scientist, advisor, executive coach, speaker and creator. For more than two decades, I’ve worked with leaders, teams and organizations to understand what’s really happening beneath behaviour and use that understanding to change what happens next.
Sometimes that means working one-on-one with an executive facing a difficult leadership challenge. Sometimes it means helping a team rethink how they communicate, influence, make decisions or connect. And increasingly, it means applying behavioural science to the environments and experiences organizations create for people.
Different problems. Same starting point.
Understand the human before designing the solution.
Different rooms.
Same discipline.
The training was long, and most of it was not academic. Years of apprenticeship under a behavioural scientist who was working in high-stakes environments long before the field had the name it has now, on top of formal study, on top of a working life spent in theatre, film, live production and building companies.
None of it was the plan. All of it turned out to be the training.
Watch what people actually do rather than what they say they will do, then work out why it makes sense to them.
